Invalid Map Version!!!
How can you get an error message that says Loading cshome map with no errors and it keeps going and its fine and at the end it states Invalid Map Version. I dont know about you all and I have looked all over for this error and either no one replied about this problem to anyone who posted something similar to this post or there was nothing on this topic. Its in the realm of the Opcode 0x0367 error message but I looked into all the files that exist with maps or zonecfg or zonepoints and Sunset Home seems to be real in all my files so why am I getting this error when trying to load into that zone???
yes I am a standalone server for my personal use at home... Here is the error message.. Code:
[Status] CURRENT_ZONE_VERSION: EQEMu 0.6.0-DR2 ok I saw another place that might be helpful to anyone who can help with this topic here it is Code:
[Status] |
Nevermind then. I'll let the Pro's Answer.

If this is stepping on Devs sorry not trying to :)
How to word this correctly lol.
I looked in my Ev###### folder and looked at the maps inside there. They are all in notepad form. My question and if this is wrong please delete this thread as I am not trying to be overly baring here and step on anyone on this form. 1.)Can I use the .maps that emu uses and replace the ones inside my Ev##### sub sony folder. 2.)Can I use the .maps from inside EV##### folder and use those in emu?? 3.)I do not have a .map inside of my EV##### folder called Cshome or even Sunset Home. What did I Do Wrong here is what I am trying to figure out. Hope I worded all this correctly and not incorrectly----If I did please delete this THREAD from here!!! MAYBE this is a much better question that CAN be answered. Are zonepoints associated with zones? What I did was looked into my Zonepoints.sql and then my Zone.sql to see what they were exactly. My Zonepoints.sql contained no point for CSHome But when I looked into my Zone.sql it did contain the CSHome/Sunset Home Values. Also in the actual .map file cshome there are mad amounts of numbers that I dont exaclty know which one is for xyz but I do know it is the zone itself and what lighting and fog level and what goes inside that zone would be. I was thinking that the first numbers next to cshome xx xx xx xx xx would be the general box length and area but I am no programmer so I dont know much about all of the numbers, just what I can grasp from RunUO and how it differs from each of them. |
I think Ghost Fire's reply is a little off base for the question you are asking.
The map files eqemu distributes are intended for server side use only and your client will do nothing with them. I don't know why the server gives a version error message but if it doesn't stop your zone from loading then you can disregard it and move on. The server side maps are only there for rudimentary pathing and line of sight. |
I am trying to set up my server on my host machine so that me and my wife can enjoy a leisurely day of playing together. I grabbed what I needed from another site np there. Also I am actually guessing that cshome was built by someone and not by the main manufacturer of eq. So it must be a player based place in general or so I am guessing. Thanks though Ranger Down I understand what your saying. Appreciate the feedback :)

Cshome was made by SOE along with the rest of the zones. It is a zone intended for GM's and guides only, hence it is not part of the standard EQ distribution.

Alright thanks for the heads up :)

Are you flagged with GM status ? if not then it will not let you into CSHome , if not then you need to go into your MYSql via either MYSQl front or some other means and either change the status requirements for the zone or change your status to whatever the zone requires in the database or higher.
The invalid map version should have no affect on weither or not you can get in there. |
