error launching eqgame.exe
 

So I followed all the steps to playing on an emu server. When I launch the shortcut of eqgame.exe a box comes up that says "please run everquest.exe". Can anyone help me with this? Did I miss something?

you missed the patchme argument.

what is the patchme argument?

When you create a shortcut on your desktop from eqgame.exe you must then right click on the shortcut. Select properties. And where it says target you must add the word patchme after the quotes.

i am having a similar problem... i try and add the patchme thing onto the target and come up with "F:\Program Files\EverQuest\eqgame.exe"patchme
but when i click apply i get an error that the name specified in the target box isnt valid. Any ideas?

You need a space between the quotes and patchme.
Like this eqgame.exe" patchme
