Logging In
 

Each time I go to login to play eqemu my screen turns black and eq dissapears this has happened many times any advice would be greatfull

Mine is doing the same thing....Can someone please help?

from what i have read on these forums that is cause by having eq's latest patch.

Weird I havn't patched yet but i guess i'll just delete the game and all it's files and try again. Or could it be im using a VERY old version of everquest?

i tried installing eq over and over 3 times it kept doing the same thing, i dont know wut it is... hmm

You can't simply install EQ at this point and play. You need to have a version of Everquest patched up to the day the emulator supports. What this means is you can't just jump onboard EQEmu when you feel like it. If you are new I would suggest save off a copy of Everquest right now and no longer patch that folder. When the Emulator supports that version of EQ it will be announced. The way the login server runs is very specific and Sony changes it very often to help curb EQEmu developers. Have patience and in time you will also have a working version.

In the mean time... get yourself over and see what parts of the game need data and get packet sniffing.
