WR under a different name?
 

Forgive me if this has been asked and answered, if so, feel free to delete this thread.

I know that Wiz and his crew are working hard on Dawntide, I also realize that is a big undertaking and there's probably not an eta for it. Would it be possible for WR to be set back up under a different name so that the huge fan base could still play for the time being? I'm pretty sure all the info from WR (database and all server files) are still around and could easily be uploaded to give players something to do besides twiddle their thumbs and await the release of Dawntide.

Apparently nothing. I know why it was shut down. SOE is watching for Winter's Roar to start back up, hence the reason I asked if it could start up under a different name and not have to worry about the C&D.

I don't think that they're worried about the name "Winter's Roar"... and I doubt opening it under a new name and not letting them know would leave them with the best impression of the community.

Kawika, since you know so much about why it was shut down, why don't you enlighten everybody. Otherwise, contact Wiz himself about the arrangement and stop copping an attitude at the rest of this community.

I didn't get an attitude with the rest of the community, only the person that responded for no apparent reason except to try to flame me. It was a very simple question, not intended to start anything but just a curiosity question.
