PC Models Issue
I've searched around a bit and have not found anyone else post with my problem. I first noticed it when I played WR. Some npc models would not be working correctly and would have the stand-in human male model instead. From WR I remember mosquitos being this way. A friend I was playing with said they looked like mosquitos to him, so its got to be an issue with my client. I used EQ Platinum to install and have used Live to patch up to play on EqEmu. My Luclin graphics are enable and I have all models turned on. Horses appear as horses to me, it just seems to be somewhat random which mobs display correctly. I have an ATI 8500 and its drivers are current.
I dont remember having this problem on Live, tho its been a while. Any help would be appreciated. It doesnt keep me from playing, just somewhat annoying. |
Well, the first and obvious problem would be that EQEmu is not up to the latest patch and I guess you should be happy your able to play at all. This doesnt seem related but because you are running on an up-to-date client... you probably wont be able to get much help here.

Jesus christ all luclin models on in an 8500? Turn off all luclin models to open up some ram for other models. This has happened to a few friends of mine, an old graphics card and not enough ram. What happens is all the eq models in the zone are loaded but the player models are loaded first. Since the luclin player models take too much ram eq can only load a few more models till you are low on ram.

Search the Sony website for information on your video card. You probably need a certain driver release for that card for it to work right.
