Telnet -- Login failed?
Is this username/pass the ones in my db.ini?
Or...perhaps its the one I created first when I clicked on MySQLAdmin.exe??....ORRR...perhaps the username/pass I created when I FIRST logged into my server? Man, in any case...which is it, or how do I find out? Secondly, can anyone point me in the direction of where a good server tutorial is, meaning maintenence wise...I don't know the first thing about this, and just started a server for fun to learn...gotta start somewhere! Thanks for the help in advance. |
In order to telnet your server, you must have a MD5 password entered in the passworld field in the account table.
Then you can telnet the server with your account's name and the non-encrypted MD5 password. Mag |

Where do I get FQAdmin? And, is it compatible with 6.X? I think I downloaded a correct one, I just want to get a link from you guys if you can...make sure I have it...
I went into it, and it gives me an error when trying to load the item table I think it is...i'll post the error later tonight if it helps...Thanks, i'll check that password field though. |

It's not fully functional with 6x but a lot of things do work still. post the error cuz I custom imported all 13th floor items with no problems. |
Thanks for the info on the password field...Got Telnet to work. Also, yeah I got FQAdmin, and it only works some...so, I just downloaded MYSQL-Front, works great I think...not visual, but hey...works for what it does.

Agreed, MySQL Front is great for being free :)
Question: is the 'password' field in accounts table the same as this 'MD5Password' field? and if so, i heard the word crypto mentioned... does the entry in the db need to be 'encrypted' some how? -anyone? |
