In light of the recent use of our homepage to slander the Ethernalquest project we are moving to Sourceforge. The statements made by the individual responsible for administering hackersrealm.net are not necessarily the views of our team as whole. We value his contributions and dedication but unfortunately are no longer in need of his services.

Previously http://eqemu.sourceforge.net forwarded you to said third party. Now we are being hosted on professional, high availability servers based off of an OC-3.

Moving forward our boards will be moderated by the development team and those appointed. There will be zero toleration for "flame wars" and posts of ill-intent. You will receive ONE warning and subsequently be banned permanently.

Thanks for your cooperation and support. I'm looking forward to the next release as much as all of you. Hopefully we will be able to focus more on the project instead of politics now.

Um did I miss somthing? I tryed to go to the eqemu page to read on updates and find it is not there then find this. If you don't mind um what happend?

Well, that would explain why Tux has put up notices about the "official" webpage being on his server. Glad somebody finally stepped up and showed his uselessness to this project.

I've setup most of you. If your missing anything let me know in IRC.

I just registered Pyro, I'm up for doing whatever is needed on the new boards.

I am somewhat shocked.

This morning I was going to through my usual ritual including checking the eqemu board.

I don't know what the internal conflicts have been on the project, but is it sad to see things go so far. I believe that everyone contributes to the project, even the lurkers or the ones that seems to ask a "stupid question".

I signed up for the eqemu forum Dec 17 and in the few short weeks I hit over 300 posting and maybe some of them were of value. Even if I don't do anything ever again with eqemu I will still feel that I have contributed something.

I wish the project well and that fences be mended where possible.

about how much damage has been done by the loss of knowledge and such ?

The project is fine, No coders were lost. Expect 0.2.0 to be a great release.

Been with this project since day source was posted. Also I was the first one to get it running (between me tux and tel0net) 15 minutes after it was posted. This is nothing big, it has passed and the project's page is now on a professional host.

i thought tux was cool
 

hey im sorry if this seems jsut a bit off with the rest of you but you all saying that he had very little to do with the emu. well if he is the one that was updating the site and keeping uptodate then he did alot because that site was alot better then this one. it had guides telling you how to install it had links to all the files you need. now i dont have the eqfix and this stie dosnt have a link to it. i liked the site he had and i fell bad for what has happened to him even if the rest of you dont he was my friend and like i told him things only get better
