alright when i die i go LD but when i try to log back on with that char that died it shows my dying again and i LD once more. i cannot get back onto a char once it dies. i understand there are alot of bugs right now but how come im the onlyperson i know of yet to have this problem ? anyone have anyideas on how to fix it. will reinstallling titanium CDs do anything? im running on 7.0 with titanium. any suggestions would be awesome

There's a current bug with Titanium and 7.0 where when you die, you go link dead. When you die, not only does it kick you to the character select screen again, but you'll log back in where you died instead of the "safe area" of the zone.

I guess it would depend on how you died. If you died from a mob (whether it's below the surface or whatever) and you log back in, you'll be in the same exact spot and you'll be in the infamous "Death Loop" like which was like on retail - you log in, and the mob re-aggros you and you die again.

So what you could do is probably make a GM character and go to the zone where your "death loop" character is, #depop the zone, log back in with your other character and run to a safe spot and #repop the zone again.

but with time this should be cured right? and for the other question yes, it is with everychar in every zone. im not real good with how this stuff works but why is it that only some people have this bug and many others dont? thanks

Possibly. Check the changelog (CVS) or announcements on what gets updated. The thing with the current 7.0 EMU and Titianium client is that there's bugs - but it's very functional. But for peace of mind and for everyone to move forward, the team released it since it's much easier than "backpatching" (which will get you banned if it's discussed - so don't). It's just infinitely better to just install Titanium and the EMU and play anyways.

I haven't personally tried the older EMU version, so I can't comment on whether that bug is there. But it should be fairly easy enough to fix. I think you have a mob there (you haven't mentioned if you're getting hit by something or not), so if that's the case, then you'll have to delete it. Also, what datapack are you using? You might want to bring it up with the team that made it so they can squash that bug.

What zone is it in? I'm curious to try it out myself now. If I can fix it, I'll post the fix here as well. :)

You have to be either using caveman's or PEQ's datapack if you used the DRP installer - which I would highly recommend if you're starting out. Without any datapack, your world wouldn't even be populated and buggy (well even more so buggy, heh). You should be using one of those or else that could explain why things are messed up. Most likely, your safe zone points could be messed up. There should be some posts here to fix that.

it is like that on all servers. being a newb and i searched/ checked the wiki and couldnt find a whole lot of info on data packs. i have not downloaded one but would peq be a good one to get? where do i find it? is it under downloads and if so where do i add those files? there were binaries... logs etc. might sound like a stupid question but i cannot find the answers anywhere on the site and im still pretty new. sorry for the hassle. i think the problem with my LD situation is due not having the right data pack.

If you followed the wikki, the links to download everything is there (7.0 Server guide). There's even a link to caveman's datapack (fourth link in that guide) and even datapacks by everyone else for that matter. The newest version of the DRP (Dark Rogue Productions) installer is 3.52, and it has cavedude and PEQ's (luclin beta) database included. Just pick which one you want to install when you have the option to.

caveman's datapack has more zone populated, but is missing quests. PEQ's database is striving for a more retail like datapack and has some quests working.

alright went through the guide and got the peq database. i extracted the 4 files into my c\mysql\bin folder like it said. when i went to start/run/ "C:\mysql\bin\mysql -u root peq" it brought up a black dos screen beeps and the dos screen dissapeared. what can i do to try to get the database to work or fix this problem? also, where do i put he file frmo the "eqemulatormapfiles" download, it is not specified. i am using

There shouldn't be any files you extract there until you install the database. And even then, there should be only one folder aside from the MySQL files from the installation. I honestly couldn't tell you what you did wrong. I installed it according to that guide and didn't have any issues what so ever.

You might want to uninstall everything, delete the residue folders and make sure you follow that guide word for word. If you're having issues with the dos window closing, then I'm almost certain you didn't install MySQL correctly.

By funny chance, I hope you're not typing "C:\mysql\bin\mysql -u root peq" with the quotes. :P

no hehe i cut out the qoutes. i installed mysql to C:/ like it said and then downloaded the database. when i unzip the file there is one folder. inside there are 4 worded documents, two are loadsd two are drops. i drug the whole folder into the mysql/bin folder like i said in the last post. it still isnt reconizing it though. it says that 6.2 is compatible with 7.0 so i got the velious database since it was labled 6.2. i tried the luclin labled 6.6 at there site also but still nothing. what is the correct way to put the database folder into mysql? alright thanks
