No, stop being a tightwad and spend the $20 on Titanium.

BTW you cant spell stop matt.

Pay 20 more dollars to SoE to use emulator? That makes a hell of a lot of sense, seeing as how I already paid hundreds of dollars for all their expansion packs!

How the hell is a backpatch "warez"?

You're trying to not break the SoE tos or something? Well you already are, open up the game and read number 7 and number 9 in the EULA.

7. Subject to the terms of this Agreement, we hereby grant to you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software solely in connection with playing the Game via an authorized and fully-paid Account.

9. You may not use any third party software to modify the Software to change Game play. You may not create, facilitate, host, link to or provide any other means through which the Game may be played by others, such as through server emulators.

Although you are correct about restrictions listed, there's a big difference between breaking a contract and the law; to say nothing of the fact that their restrictions probably wouldn't hold up in court. You paid for the software and you own it and it's generally held that you have the right to use it how you wish as you did pay for it.

Lawyers should feel free to chime in on this one. I'm not one.

But, if you give copies of software away, unless you're willing to personally verify that the person owns the rights to the software, you're pirating and that's where there are laws to deal with that.

These kind of threads always make me chuckle. I can see it now:

FIVE+ years into a major project a post like the one above is made causing the devs to say "DEAR GOD! We're doing something Illegal!"

The visual makes me rofl.

EULA = Not law

Handing out copywrited files = against the law and will get this whole comunity shut down.

If you want to know more use search there must be over a thousand of these threads by now.
