crashing on launch (i read the wiki!)
Hi!
I am experiencing a crash problem as soon as I launch the shortcut. I am using an out of the box, completely unpatched version of Titanium on xp pro. I modified the eqhost file and changed the shortcut accordingly. the problem SEEMS to happen while its changing display modes because as soon as the screen goes black, i get the "eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close we are sorry" message (within 5 seconds of clicking on the "eqgame.exe" patchme shortcut before any login screen or eula agreement) application log gives me: Faulting Application eqgame.exe version 0.0.0.0 faulting module version 0.0.0.0 fault address 0x00000000 I have- -read the wiki -verified my video/sound drivers are most current -verified directx is up to date (my dx info is at the bottom fyi) -taken my router/firewall out of the picture by connecting directly to my DSL modem -added the "FullscreenRefreshRate=60" line to my eqclient.ini -reread the wiki -deleted the eqclient.ini and let it recreate -changed display modes -reinstalled EQ titanium completely if i am overlooking something simple i apologize.. i went thru numerous posts involving crashes and nothing seems to apply.. thanks for any assistance!!! 1280x1024 Full-screen should be fine. I am using 1152x(that other thing) in Windowed, and it's working fine. If you have a super-uber video setup with 1900x1200 or something, it's been reported there is a problem there. Not sure why, since it is SOE's client (unpatched, perhaps).
Welcome. |
I run one at 1680 X 1050 (Widescreen) without any problems. Perhaps you just had the refresh set wrong...

There is a thread on SOE's official forums about this. (I searched for 1900 x 1200 and got a ton of hits, but this is one thread).
I concluded this makes it a non-Emu problem. |
I still get the same problem as the poster i dont know how to fixx this
