New to this but its about the zones and EQemu.

Hey there first of all excuse my english =)

Im new to this eqemu thing but old school to Eq.
I want to play Eq on a LAN if that is possible ?
And if it is, are the maps/zones completly done with npc's, mobs and questest etc???

So if this is easy to get up and running what will i have to get?
Titanium from EQ's webpage ok ill get that but will the Eqemu work with the one i can buy from their webpage?

I guess this already been askt and such so sorry but ill ask anyway =)

Thanks for your time.

Titanium digital download will not work. You need the box version from the store. Their digital download has updated files in it I believe.

As for setting it up, check the wiki. There are very detailed guides.

Don't expect mobs, drops, and quests to be 100%. But in the luclin and under zones they are actually fairly close.

Hi again!

Thanks for that information.
I found on a website that i use to order games from that have the Titanium USA import (live in sweden) Box. Will that do?

And is it a must to edit anything like in the world? or can i just start playing and own the mobs i always wanted to take out my self? LOL

Thanks again folks =)

You can edit most anything in the game you want. Although it will run with no editing at all in the Database or source. The easiest way to get a server up quick if your new would be to use the installer from eqemu.sesmar.net.

If your feeling adventurous and want to have the experience of setting it up yourself check out this page. http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...CategoryServer

I wouldn't recommend the mysql 5 guide unless you have played with MySQL before and have a good understanding of it.
Good Luck!
