Mysql problems
 

I keep trying to install mysql 4.1.22. everytime I install it, I can't open mysqladmin, a black box with text pops up, and it shuts down in less then a second. I also tried using version 5.0 and have the same problem.

If I open mysql up, it seems to work fine.. I created a database to test if its working..

any help would be great, I tried setting a server up in the state of the database but I get error 10061.

So thought I'd start at the root of the problem and work on it from there :)

I think you want to run winmysqladmin, not mysqladmin.

Edit: and I would assume that error is resulting from mysql not running.

I might be wrong though.

hmm, thanks.. That seems to be the problem, winmysqladmin is not in the folder.. I was thinking it was missing, but am out of date with the newer versions on mysql.
