Log in server down?

Not sure but I can't log in. I have one account still on the server I'm playing on but it won't let me log in as it did about 30 minutes ago. Again it may just be me but I'm not sure.

Edit: Confirmed by others. Why is the login server going down all the time?

Last week it was a hardware failure. Today I don't know. Not that it matters I'm sure they'll have it back up asap.

Just a thought ... not to sound better knowing, 'cause I am not ... but how about setting up a secondary login-server and altering the emu's config to be able to contain 2 login-server's (primary and secondary) in case the primary fails and establish data replication between the 2?

And what about setting up a PHP page that can verify that status of the login-server, as being up or down? Like live has the server's listed on their site?

I like the idea of a redundant login server hosted somewhere else.

It seems to be working fine now - might have been down for a short time, but these things happen.
It was much worse whith SOE anyways - I still remember those "patch" days ....

An additional fallback LS could also be setup through DNS as such it would be transparent to emuQuester~

Oh lord, don't remind me. "Yay, patching done, we can log in! Whaddya mean the server is going down, I've only been playing for 15 minutes! Do they ever actually TEST these freaking patches???"
