What Ports to forward?

Hi Al, I’ve done some search in the forums and haven’t been able to get a straight answer on exactly what ports to forward.

Thus far i have forwarded: 5998, 9000-9100 (zones are set up at 9001-9100).

But yet, People still cannot log in externally. Locally everything is fine.

I did however, manage to get 1 person into akanon, here is world (they never appeared in game tho however)

I believe that you also need to allow port 5999. Looking back on my notes from setting up my server (when it was passed to me from my friend), I have this:

Ports 5998, 5999, 9000 and 7000 - 7200 both TCP and UDP.

The 7000 range was for the zones, so you have that covered if you're already doing 9000 (as I see you have them set for that). From what you listed (5998, but not 5999), I think that might be your problem.

Port is now forward, now comes the waiting game of seeing if someone wants to connect and seeing IF they can connecty :P

Hrm. You haven't shown anything about whether or not your zones are actually being set to that port range that you specified in the configuration file. It should look something like this:

This issue has now been reolved.

What i t was:

Widnows for soem reason was only allowing local traffer to the zone ports, and not external? (um yeah ok werid) a futhure reboot fixed this issue.

Thanks to BrainiacVince and Enoex for helping me correct this issue :)

I also have tried to make the eqemu server by NAT, many error, later I try VPN,then the client also no need to change their login IP address!

Maybe you can try VPN! :)
