Spam + Wiki = Shocked John
 

I just went to the Wiki. The pages are filled with spam links to peenur drugs and porn sites. If anyone wants to help keep that clean, it would be appreciated. Things are hard enough to find in there without the additional crap.

Ax/Matt, not sure if that can be locked down any tighter than it is? Seems bots are able to create accts and login, then post their bs...

I think I got all the pages cleaned up. There was 4 or 5 that were spammed.

Here is the accounts that posted the stuff, simple 6 letter alphanumeric accounts so you could possible go through and find more like these and block them.

I know that the wiki is just that, a wiki, but I do belive that someone should be apointed to administrat it. When I was sifting through the pages looking for spam, I noticed a bunch of stuff that could probably be removed. Now some may say go ahead, but I dont want to jump in and remove a bunch of information and someone ie the original author get mad that there contributions were removed.

Needless to say though, it does need a little attention to get cleaned up, but I would like to request that the formating of it be changed to somehting that supports the apostrphe. I think Kayot mentioned UTF8 or somethign like that as I had one hell of a time getting my original 7.0 guide up there because of that.

No control over the wiki, only developers have admin accounts.

Couldnt a dev appoint someone as a admin on the wiki, or is it not like forums, meaning that to truly be a admin of a wiki you need database access.

I would figue this being a wiki doesnt seem to have various levels for users as far as privleages go.

Ok, I just went through every page in the index and removed spam, I belive thats all the pages in the wiki. I am not going to go and go through every sub-sub-sub link and delete content. It should be as a on your way there thing. Clean up as you see it lol!!!

This time around I didnt get account names. There was roughly 20 more pages spamed in the index so I just got the spam off of there as quickly as possible.
