idiot proof

Is there any way to set this up fairly idiot proof to run my own server for friends?

I guess what im asking is is there a simple zip file and mabey a swaping of a few files instead of all this tech crap, for us non-geeks )).

Hehe no offense intended but i havent found any simple explanation on how to set this up...if its not for us laymen then thats ok. But it would be nice to be able to play with just rl friends and nothing else.

readme.txt is pretty idiot proof. the thing is..... its not "really stupid complete computer n00b" proof.
