EQgame.exe, anything ever done about this?
 

I just installed everquest titanium.

I followed the instructions for eqhost, creating a shortcut with patchme, etc.

I open the shorcut and as it launches.. BAM

im having the samne prob with my exe. only way ive found around it is to do a system restore to before i started getting the message. it will work for a day or 2 then i have to do another restore

Here's 3 reasons for this to happen to me;
1- When in full window mode it would do this
2- My GUI files; In the "Everquest\uifiles" directory, I deleted everything and replaced with original Titanium UI Files. If you look around the net, you will find UI files posted, somewhere here I linked UI files, but if you use the wrong ones, you get that crash message.
3- This one is hard to remember, but it's video-related files that reside in your Everquest client directory. If you changed video cards, or got them corrupted, then you start getting this crash error. You might want to Google for more info on this.

I had the same issue fresh install would click the shortcut and bam eqgame.exe has encountered a problem. Well after some searching around on the web here is what i think was happening to me. With a fresh install the eqclient.ini only has a couple of settings in it the rest doesn't get added until you actually run the game. I think in my case it was trying to set the video to my current screen resolution 1920 x 1200 which it doesn't support which was causing it to crash. Below is a brief description of how i got mine to stop crashing.

Changed my screen resolution to 1024 x 768 instead of my normal 1920 x 1200. Then click on the shortcut and at the sign on went into options and set eq to run at 1280 x 1024 and finished running through the setup and hit finish now at this point EQ minimized itself (if i remeber right) and i changed my screen resolution back to 1920 x1200 and EQ popped back up in window mode and i haven't had any issues anymore running it.
