Theoretically..
Theoretically, can't someone simply happen to have the two files required for the rollback to work with the current public release of EQEmu in their AIM file sharing folder? Thus, theoretically, someone could connect to them to share a MP3 or nab a text document and just happen to download those files. The person did not GIVE them away, thus theoretically there would be no reason for the individual who happened to have these files in this folder to be banned for not doing anything at all, no?

Well, considering you made those files publicly available ON PURPOSE by putting them in that folder to share, theoretically you would still be banned if caught. No different than hosting them on a webpage or ftp server.
theoretically of course... Like leaving a handgun out on the coffee table for an infant to pick up. You still left it there.. Heres the F'ing big picture.. End of story... Do what the hell you people want... but, dont post on the boards about it, dont ask for them, dont advertise.. Dont get caught.. I personally don't give a rats ass what people do behind closed doors, just respect the admin's wishes and keep your BS out of the project space. You do so at your own risk... Enough of the whining and crying.. Do we have to beat this horse everyday???? |
Nope, Trump. The admins now have an absolute ZERO tolerance now so "theoretically" that user should already be banned ;)

Yeah I thought this horse was dead months ago. With the latest version and then more recent EQLive patches, I had to presume some 60 Cleric rez'd the horse til Shawn deleted it all together. Can't res a deleted horse again, sorry, no corpse... :)

There is no way around it, EQ files = Warez and Warez = Ban.
|
So, It's a "Don't ask, don't tell" policy then... ;p
|
Thats the same things as putting them in your web dir (called, HOSTING the files).
