Banned from IRC?
 

Well, last night, I went searching for the eqemu irc channel/server. Had a little bit of trouble connecting, but finally found the correct address. Connected and then basically said "Hi!" Of course, nobody responded being it was 4 in the morning where I live so I just went around and joined all the channels just to see what was all going on in the server.

I then created my own channel, registered my nickname with NickServ, registered my channel with Chanserv and after a few failed attempts I managed to change the topic of my channel.

So far so good right? So I logged offline. Came back in the morning and I started getting the old (Connection Refused) message. I was able to verify that the server was connectable from machines on different ip addresses but mine was just getting that (haha go away) message.

So I'm like thinking, was I not supposed to register a channel, was I not supposed to talk in #eqemu, perhaps I joined a channel that was supposed to be restricted. I mean I definitely didn't offend anyone.

But yeah, that's my little story after waking up this morning. What can you do right? Back to dealing with problems surrounding my server :P

PM me the IP thats banned and I will tell ya why.

I was able to sign on after about 12 hours of not. Not sure why it works now. ><

Rogeans IRC server has been kinda flaky, getting alerts and beeps all night long about it connecting and disconnecting from the other servers.

Coulda just been a net issue.

That was probably it then :) just kinda odd how one computer could connect and mine couldn't :P

I got the same problem, i logged in and said 3 mssges very long time apart from each other and was banned, didnt say any reason. ;\


still cant login...

i didn't actually get a msg saying i was banned. just connection refused
