Binding EQ to a single processor
Hello,
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I think that anybody who knows how to bind EQ to a single processor (1 of 2 in a dual core) will be able to help. I can log into eq and everything works, but i run TOO fast, which won't work on the legit server i am playing on. I remember reading somewhere someone having a dual core issue, and having to bind EQ to a single processor with a program in order to slow it down, and I believe this can be addressed with runfirst, found here http://www.activeplus.com/us/freeware/runfirst/ I used this guide http://forums.station.sony.com/eq/po...topic_id=17405 (yes i'm attempting to do this on a bootcamped windows dual core mac) and it suggests creating shortcut to work with runfirst that says this "C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest\runfirst.exe" everquest.exe How can i make this work with the eqgame.exe patchme instruction that eqemu demands? Thanks a ton for your help! John Gus |
If you just go to this site and download one of the programs it will work just fine, thats what I am using on my notebook.
http://www.geocities.com/edgemeal_so...nity/index.htm I had the same problem and I think that link was posted somewhere else on this site, but it works great. Hope this helps. |
