Try updating video card drivers.
|
i tried but they are as updated as it'll get,ive run eq on this comp before so the graphics shouldnt be a problem
|
You might try messing with options, turning everything off and changing resolution.
Does it do this with other games? |
this is the only game ive played on here, and everything i do it still blue screens for some reason, everythings turned off and i went thru every video res. this is quite aggrivating
|
sounds like either your video card or ram is bad. I assume you have the latest directx installed, 9.0c
|
i have direct x 10 actually i have 1g of ram and my graphics card is Mobility Radeon 9000 like i said ive run eq on this computer before

Are you running a dual or quad core processor? If so, search these forums for the fix.
Are you running windows Vista? I know there are issues that that OS. Try right clicking your shortcut icon and selecting properties. Then going to the compatibility tab and try selecting windows XP or maybe even windows 98. Have you checked your system temperature? What kind of monitor are you using? If you are trying to play on a TV, you may have resolution issues. Have you checked the actual SOE Everquest forums to see if there might be any issues with your hardware? I know EQ has issues with certain version of video cards running certain drivers. By blue screens, do you mean the "blue screen of death"? I don't think real blue screens have been common since windows 2000. And normally blue screens mean you have failing hardware. You have to be more specific if you want more help. Does your computer ever lock up at any other times or is it always 100% stable? If not, you may need to reseat your RAM, Video Card, or even CPU. If you have failing hardware, it isn't always easy to detect the source of the problem. You may be able to find some tests and diagnostic tools to check it with. Is your video card compatible with DX10? I know EQ works fine on DX9, so you might even want to try downgrading to see if that helps. If possible, try to post your event manager logs as well as your everquest logs. If you don't know how to find these, try googling and doing some reading. Hopefully one of these questions will help to find the problem for you lol. |
install dx9, you can do it even though you have 10. That very well may fix it.

Drivers may be too new for the video cared too, I had to roll mine back to get titanium to work.
