A newbie numb question

Im keen to setup an EQemu server on my linux box, first just so I can play and less strain on the old windows PC, second, possibly make available for a small group of friends, kinda a sort of 'GM event' sort of deal.

I have the source for 3.3.1 however, no make files.. I saw a post which said download the dev files.. Please, can someone point me in that direction?

The makefiles are in with the rest of the source. One in the zone dir, and one in the world dir.
