Game Keeps Freezing.
 

Hello I've been having this problem for the past few weeks. I will zone and the game will freeze on me. This happens quite often and it's very frustrating. Another problem I've been having is when I try to login the list of servers don't show and I have to log out and back in sometimes 5 or 6 times until they appear. If anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I tried the second suggestion but the first I could not do because I'm using windows XP and the option isn't there. This hasn't helped my problem though unfortunately. =(

Most likely you are experiencing the "lag bug" that won't let you cast and no one can see any text messages you send in tell, group, ooc or whatever. If you zone while having that bug, it will normally wait a long time and then kick you back to the login screen. This problem seems to happen in some zones more often than others. Do you have this problem mainly in a particular zone? This problem normally means you have network issues, which happen if you are on dialup, or even sometimes on certain broadband connections. I have never heard a clear answer or solution for this problem.

If that isn't the problem, then it may be the server you are playing on. Servers running dynamic zones have to load up empty zones and that can take a while on slower servers, so it causes you to time out and get disconnected. Depending on the server, it may also only have 5 dynamic zones set to load (which is default), so if 5 zones are in use and you try to zone, the zone you try to go to will be unavailable until one of the other 5 zones is no longer in use.

Still happening all the time and nobody else on the server says they're experiencing the same thing. 50% of the time I zone the game freezes and I have to restart and often wait to play again. Sigh
