Mysql Connection Troubles
Hello, I'm running a debian linux box and I am wanting to connect to it using georges tools through the network via my windows xp machine. I can't seem to connect to the linux box, however im able to connect to mysql on my windows machine through linux. I was also able to get navi cat to connect to my linux box via a ssh tunnel but no other way. Ive added in the users with all privilages and also ran through iptables with the help of KingMort and Cripp if anyone has any ideas please help, im all out :P
Also I should note that I do have odbc 3.51 drivers installed and have ran through Georges' guide a few times with no luck. |
Found the fix for this googleing around, had to edit the configuration file, located: /etc/mysql/my.cnf Changed the bindadress from 127.0.0.1 to (the lan-ip of my server running mysql). And Boom! it worked! woo!
