The Edge Server revival

- Level Cap of 250, with a bug fix for the 87ish exp rollover as well as fixed client display issues.
- #stats command, never be left in the dark on your statistics. Shows full information about your character. Has arguments of #stats race [playable race name] to change your playable race, amongst other things.
- Beginner's Tutorial (WIP)
- Some classes can have multiple pets, at the moment this is only necromancers (4 pets), when magicians, beastlords, and necromancers get their epic, they receive 2, 2, and 8 pets respectively.
- Custom serversided spellfile to work with titanium's without modifying anything.
- Randomly generated NPC textures, by slot or by whole.
- Randomly generated NPC names; never see the same guard again!
- Randomly generated NPC genders + races - again, you probably won't see the same human twice.
- Randomly generated races - Do I need to repeat myself?
- Titanium compatibility right out of the box.
- Custom zonelines: zonelines are different and custom zonelines that are non-object are in the world. (though we still do have some object clickies ;))
- Tons of class-specific features (try playing an enchanter unarmed for example, you'll be in for a surprise)
- Tradeskilled weapons system, craft your way to the top with drops from NPCs in world. Over 150+ custom recipes to choose from.

Holy crap, you fixed the client display issues for Stats(AC/Attack) and Skills for level 71+ chars? Or just the display issue with displaying the level of the player in the UI? I didn't even see that note at first lol. That would be an awesome fix lol.

Also, have you had any luck with fixing the issue where spells for level 71+ get removed from the spellbook when you zone? I have to keep #scribespells enabled on my server as a temporary work around.

Those are 2 issues that have plagued me for a long time now. It would be awesome to get these fixed!

I believe it does display stats up to 1500, however at 1500 the stats go to red, and it's just a clientside bug. If your eyes sear from red text, there's always #stats.

Spellbook issue? Must've been caused in a recent (940+) EQEmulator build, as KMRA doesn't even have it and they are stuck on 1108.

As for fixing the exp rollover issue, I know the exp formula is different than most servers... meaning, it was revamped fully. (You don't get exp percents, you get actual exp numbers.)

As for fixing the client-display issue... gonna have to ask my coder on that one, no idea.

So, you are saying the KMRA doesn't have the spellbook issue where it removes 71+ spells from the spellbook when you zone? And your server doesn't either? I forget the code version I was running when I first increased my level to 75 (via quests), but I have had this issue since I first changed it months ago.

I know I tried setting a test server rule for max level up to 75 to see if that was the issue causing AC, Attack, and Skill levels to be displayed incorrectly, but that didn't make a difference. I don't recall if I tried the zoning with 71+ spells issue when I was running on that test with max level set to 75. Maybe the rule being set to 70 is what is causing my problem. If so, maybe I can find where it makes that check in the code and remove it.

If you have the display bug fixed that is causing skills to appear to roll over (back to 0) once a player exceeds 70, then it would be a huge help if you would share it. Since the client uses skills to calculate stats like AC and Attack, it causes those 2 stats to appear way off. Though, you can still see the real value of AC with #showstats, it still doesn't show Attack the way people are used to.

I have even considered leveling up a character on KMRA just to see what happens when I hit level 71 lol. But, it seemed like it would take more time than it would be worth, so I just gave up. Probably much easier just to ask lol.

I have a query, being that I iz a newb; I cannot actually figure out how to connect to your server, or what is required to do so; what version of the game I need to play, and so forth on your website. Apologies if this is all terribly obvious, but could you point me in the right direction?

You need EverQuest Titanium; the current client version supported by EQEmulator.

You can find this online at a place like ebay, or amazon.

Our website does not have play instructions on it because we assume that players would find out about our server through the EQEmulator website.
