i have windows XP

when i get to the char select screen and hit Enter world it loads to the EVERQUEST loading screen then it crashes...

Try a different race/class/diety combo. I found that for some reason I can't login to my Iksar Shaman no matter what zone I put him in with movechar, yet my Dark Elf Necro and Human Monk both work fine.

Also check that you arent suffering from the EQMessages table problem - a fix for that is on another board you just need to make a blank table.
