ahhhh! help!!!(n00b question)
 

Alright im making my own server but world.exe keeps giving me a 1006 error... Im running Windows XP Home Edition 256 ram NVIDIA 16-bit graphics card (only use original EQ) Celeron 1096 processor... hellppppppp meeeeeee

is 1006 the Cannot connect to server error? if so, check your eqhost.txt file. i have a feeling your trying to log into the Verant servers =P

my bad 10061 in world.exe, I got past it but now my server always comes up as "LOCKED" so how do I get it un-locked???

It never ceases to amaze me that nearly everyone asking questions thinks were mind readers, or can magically see their computer screen and read their config files. And all from 1 generic error code and the computers hardware specs.

You got past the error? Or you solved the problem that was causing the error? If you don't solve the problem then of course it still won't work.

"LOCKED" server means you dont have any zone servers up and running. did you tun the boot5zones.bat file? if so what error were in them? you failed to include the information requested in the posts that are in my sig (and in the rules).

ok I have the boot5zones.bat running (im on win xp home edition, celeron processor 1.1 GHz 256 ram GeForce 2 32mb graphics card, yada yada yada) no errors in them.. I solved the error with world.exe... so.. what now..

So your saying you had an error, but now it is fixed. Well then play. But since your still asking what to do I asume you still have a problem...


That seems to sum up your posts so far. There isn't anything to try and work with there. Not even enough to make a wild guess.


POST YOUR CONFIG FILES (all of them) AND your emu world, zone, and minilogin screens. Otherwise the best we can do is tell you to read the readme and wish you luck.

this is from world.exe a new error that I didnt have before, everything else works fine.. read the readme over 20 times... help plz... lol

Your missing your variable and zone tables. Drop and reload your DB. Are you running the EQEmu 3.4 release DB or something else?

so you want me to post my config fies on here, all of them? wont that eat up the bandwith and such

the eq.messages table wasnt included in the 0.3.4 db.sql (dunno why). join the chat room and ask there (MUCH easier to get help).
