CVS problems
I've been following the guide
http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...ka=ws992mysql5 and when I get to the Project EQ/To Download part I get this problem: ------------------------------------------------- TCL or Python are not available, shell is disabled cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@peq.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/peq rtag -- peq_db C:\peq_db Unable to initialize the CVS process: The system cannot find the file specified. The CVS used is : cvs.exe ------------------------------------------------- With the Python the guide said nothing about it, and something about pressing ok when I first start the wincvs and it tells me there is no Python. Anyone able to help? |
Same issue.

cvs -d :pserver:anonymous@projecteq.cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/projecteq checkout -P -- peq_db (in directory C:\) Unable to initialize the CVS process: The system cannot find the file specified. The CVS used is : cvs.exe Anyone have a clue?? |

Try changing /projecteq to /peq
Looks like may be a typo somewhere:) |
CVS problems
Installed everything but the CVSNT install just sets there. I even left it over night and it would not install. Everything else loaded as it was supposed to but I can't continue because it will not work. I get the same error as others here but I am thinking it is because my CVSNT did not install. Can anyone help please. I am getting deployed and really would like to run my own server for myself and others to play on while I am deployed.

I uninstalled everything and started again and cvs worked, I managed to load up the db and everything. I did it from the command line following these instructions http://www.eqemulator.net/wiki/wikka...kka=ws1129r222 and it whizzed through in no time.
I still get the "can't find python" message when I start wincvs but I believe that is optional. Now I've done everything but am unable to start the server which I guess is normal and I've either missed a bit out or there is some setting I've got wrong so I'm happy |
