What!? Game closes when trying to enter?
I keep getting this error and forgot how I avoided it last time I used Eqemu... I can get to char screen easily but when I try to log in it doesnt work... just closes eqw. Its not eqw I know that cause normal eq works fine. Any one know how to avoid this issue? It only seems to happen when I join the server I'm hosting... might happen on other servers as well =/.
I'm back... but for how long? |
Are you using 0.3.4?
|
yes, but it did the same thing in 3.3
|
Are you running the latest EQ patch? if not when was the last time you did patch? what does loginserver.ini and boot5zones.bat say (should have provided this first) ? =P
|
I have this same problem using both "eqgame.exe patchme" and EQW. It happens on my personal server and others.
Strange, 0.3.4 worked fine for me at first, now I have this problem again on 0.3.4 servers. I'm still investigating this for myself. |
0.3.4 is not complete. there are some packets/bugs that were not worked out. there wont be a 0.3.5 untill we get some more coders =P

OK. Hey you know what else is weird Shawn? I noticed that *sometimes* when I run the world, I can log a character into the world just fine the entire time that world is running, and so can others. Most of the time I run world.exe, however, I get the crash result. Then I just keep running world.exe until I get a "good one."
Weird, ain't it? |
Yea sometimes it lets me in, mostof the time it doesn't... I haven't had problems logging into other servers though. I'm running latest patch but I've been in with this patch on 3.4 so its probably not the eq patch. Everything in the .ini files seems fine and when ppl log in to my server they don't have the issue I do, I'll copy paste the stuff for you anyways.
