Map problems

I play on The Grand Creation and on Scars of Amerous. On TGC, when I press [Backspace] the map works normally. On SoA when I do this, the map displays my arrow and nothing else. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I was told to download maps at mapfiend.net (or .com?) and I did and put them in my folder and it's still messed up. Any ideas?

how about you try manually drawing them in?
