Scribing Failure - Spell ID Out of Range

I don't know what's causing it, but I followed CaveDude's instructions for making a new server, using both his PEQ Installer and the Upgrader, and when I finally got it working everything looked like it would be juuuust fine. But then I made a spellcaster...

I start with two spells in my inventory, and no matter which one I scribe, I sit down and it says:

Beginning to Scribe

and then just a short while later in huge red letters,

ERK Can't scribe, 'Spell ID Out of Range.' What in the world do I do? My game is completely unpatched, but assuming that it wasn't and that anything in the world could possibly be wrong, what could possibly be happening here and how might I go about fixing it?

After it fails to scribe, the scroll is stuck to my cursor, I can't open my inventory and I have to quit to fix the problem.

I am not even sure if this would cause your error but it's the first thing that pops into my head. Did you put the 2 spells files in your eqemu folder?

They were already there - the PEQ installer automates the entire process and puts the files where they need to go.

Check this thread out on the PEQ forums. Looks like others are also having your problem.

Yeah that appeared just a while ago. I guess this problem must be a new development, because I haven't seen it referenced anywhere else.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait for something to happen, or wait for the next revision.

Thanks for trying, though.

What spell(s) in particular are you having trouble scribing?
