Voice Activated Commands
I hope this is going into the correct forum. I though about posting it in requests, but finally opted for this one.
In the support, forum I asked about the /voice command getting an "This is not a valid command". I got a responce that voice has not been add to eqemu code. http://www.eqemulator.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26977 I was wondering if anyone was working on it? If no one was working on it, I was thinking about trying to do it if I could find someone to hold my hand and help me get started on the coding project. My qualifications are very slim. I took and Aced a C course 20 years ago and then proceeded to not write any more C the past 20 years. I would also accept graciously, "Are you crazy, that part of eqemu is a can of worms and should be left to people who know what they are doing". |
If you get "this is not a valid command" in red, that means that it isn't a valid command for Everquest at all. If you do a "/help normal" do you see voice listed in that list? I think it was something that they started to work on for a while, but then gave up on and removed it. I may be wrong about that, though.

I can see them giving up on this as it probably wouldnt work with things like Ventrilo which is heavily used.
Never heard of anyone ever using it. |
I found a program VAC
http://www.dwvac.com/ That does voice commands without having to use the /voice command in the game. So I no longer need any development code done. BTW: I do not use Ventrilo because I team up with my wife who sits next to me. |
