Installing Perl....

Ive searched the forums but I have been unable to find any answer, I am following the tutorial to set up a windows server and I am at the part where I am installing Perl and it says :

Next type the following commands from a command prompt

ppm install DBI
ppm install IO-stringy

Ive opened up a cmd prompt and typed them in but I get a message of ppm not a recognized command. Where exactly should I be typing these commands? Sorry I do realize it is a very n00b question, much appreciated!

after you install perl, try restarting your computer. Then try the command prompt again

Seems like you got your Windows install confused with Linux - I thought 'ppm' was an option for some of the Linux distros.

If you're trying get a server running, you might want to try Leslamarch's server install, includes everthing you need, and is as easy as you can get.
Only thing is, it contains its on login server - so you would direct other players to your login server instead.
