Error- A timeout occured

I am getting the error message "Error- A timeout occured" trying to login. I have already reset my password for my LS accounts, changed the host file to contain the line: eqemulator.net:5998 and added patchme to the shortcut to eqgame.exe. any help would be appreciated TYIA

I am also getting this message but when i go back into my eqhost file there is this a couple spaces down from the original message:
[LoginServer]
Host=xp-smitchell:7308
Host1=

Iv tried deleting it and re-saving the file and it still comes back... any ideas?

I have.. thats what i tried in the first place also... sorry forgot to mention that.
