[Mischief] Development

Well, I will be continuing my work on my new server. I will be working on this with Striat, who has been very very helpful lately.
I may be releasing this within the next month, I will be working on this server constantly. It will be a long-term project I wish to finish. If this one fails or does not work out the way I want I will be stopping my server development completely. So hopefully some people will look forward to this server.
Below I have listed what I would like to implement in the server and some of the rules. If anyone would like to help develop this server with me, send me a message with your skills.

Code:

- Custom Loot for all levels

- Custom Quests for all levels

- Every boss with a spell / spawn / flag script

- Easy low level fights for solo

- Required group bosses past Level 40

- Item upgrading by turn-in

- 1.0 epic quest, 2.0 epic quest, 3.0 epic quest, 4.0 epic quest

- 1.0 epic armor, possibly 2.0 3.0 4.0?

- Free teleporter

- PVP Arena with Title Rewards depending on kills

- AA titles?

- Available SoF and SoD Item Graphics / Models. Legalized.

- Plenty of Raid zones

- Balanced zones

- Varying difficult in different zones / Exp multiplier

- Long time rare spawn bosses

- Every spell customized and new spells

- NO SECRETS OF FAYDWER UNTIL IT IS FINISHED

- Level locked areas to prevent fast power-leveling

- Custom pet spells

- Upon zone in announced if you will be attacked on sight

- Macroquest = Auto-ban

- No over-powered items that can equal soloing of a group or raid boss at max level

- Instance Zones (or close to it)

- Specialized Trade-skill items

- Strategic based zones

- 24/7 Up-time. Or atleast will attempt

- Constant Customer Service

- Begging will not be tolerated first offense is a nice big boot from the server. Next offense is a 24 hr ban

- Will try to bring it onto a dedicated server

- Will be looking for HIGHLY QUALIFIED GMs only specific ones with the skills I need. Advanced Perl scripting, Customer Service, Advanced Command Knowledge, Database Knowledge, Server Balancing Knowledge.

- Will have a Website and forums running

will this be SoF capable?

- No Secrets Of Faydwer Until It Is Finished

Well due to SoF being really buggy and no map files and players not being able to cast with it, I don't want to use it until it is completely finished. So until then I will leave it regular Titanium.

Progress is being made really quickly still on SoF, but most of the major bugs are worked out. I think you would find huge improvements if you tried the current SVN update with it if you haven't tested an update in a few weeks.

And, the .map files are easy to make. I made my own and azone2 worked for about half of the zones. For the other half to be able to have .map files, azone will need to be updated. Either way, we can still use over half of the new zones that come with SoF, which is quite a few. Even though I did create the .map files for my own use, my hosting isn't too great so I am not going to host them. I imagine maybe Angelox would be willing to host them since he hosts all of the other ones. I would gladly send the ones I made to him if he wants them and doesn't want to create them himself.

There are still some issues with SoF, but it is actually getting close to being done for now :)

Sorry, I get a little defensive about SoF, cause it is my baby for the most part :P

Awesome news Trevius, I hope it will be completed soon, I bet it'll probably be even closer to completion before I launch my server.

I am quitting this project... I just don't feel the need or want to build another server.. I don't have the time and I just can't come up with many ideas or find good help... so I'll have to shut it down, maybe another time. See ya EqEmu.

Yeah I was really lookin forward to being able to build this server and all, but without the needed help or the time and all. If anyone would like to help me I would take the help and build it. But for now I am closing it, too much work and would take way too long to build by myself.
