Playing more than one char on the same account

Could anyone tell me how to disable the prevention of playing more than one character from the same account?

Thanks,
Swish.

If the characters are both on the same server and same account, the server operator would have to change their source code to allow you to play multiple characters on the same account, as well as possible login server change. I'm assuming you are an average user so the answer is "it is not possible."

Hm?

I can log on 2 chars from the same account on almost every server. I was wondering how to disable the thing that prevents me from loggin on two chars at the same time, cause I couldnt find a way to.

I thought there was a rule added at some point in order to prevent this?

Do you know if it is either World:MaxClientsPerIP or World:ExemptMaxClientsStatus, if at all?

Clumsy's World is now having this with no purpose to. I'm trying to help them get rid of the thing that allows only 1 person at a time on each account and I'm not sure what to do =P

Add this rule "World:AccountSessionLimit" and set it to -1 to disable it. Though, I thought it was off by default.

It is actually a good idea to disable players from using more than 1 character per account. Letting them play more than 1 will cause them to crash almost every time they zone. It also causes issues with the server like false hacker log entries.

But, currently, the limiting will only block people from logging in a new character if they have one already logged in for that account. What it should do is kick the current logged in character off and let you log the new one in. The only bad thing is if someone gets a char stuck in game and then they can't log in to clear that character out. This is mostly only bad for Windows Servers with ghosting issues, and especially with servers that have a very low IP limit set. I would like to get it set to kick the in-game character instead at some point.

Thanks Tev, I'll try that!

The problem is, each time someone crashes or LD, it takes like 5 minis to clear untill you can relog. I can say on myself that I wait around 20-30 minis (on a good day) just waiting for each time I LD or crash on one of the boxes.

Thanks for the help =P

Swish.

Yeah, that is why I would like to have it boot the in game char instead of blocking the new connection from logging in. Just not sure how to do that yet. Though, I will probably mess around with it more eventually if I get time lol.

And you would be wrong....

Anyway Swish I wouldn't do that .... Lots of ways for players to Duplicate Items and what not with that enabled .. You should keep it disabled...

I completely agree.
