Walls in Outdoor Zones
Outdoor zones and walls and anything really that is an object can protect the player from ALL AE spells .... Only Indoor zones should protect a player form that type of thing right ???
Maybe I don't have a setting correct... Let me know folks King |
so u mean even in outdoor zones u cant use AE spells on peeps?

Bump this is getting highly annoying... AE effects not landing on people in outdoor zones.. All they have to do is hide behind a Hill or a Rock or something and they do not get AE'd by the raid.... Outdoor zones should not do this only INDOOR ......
Outdoor zones the AE should land on everyone even if they are hiding... Please fix this bug !!! |
Terrain tends to block AE; placeable objects should not be blocking AE. You should be safe from AE behind a wall, for instance, but not behind something like a door or a tree.
The problem is probably more related to the central point used to determine whether or not you are in LOS of the AE origin; for instance if you were to calculate at your or the mob's feet versus their head or torso your AE spread will be severely limited by even tiny bumps in terrain. |
Ok so absolutely in no case will an outdoor zone on live have any player immune from AE effects...
I have even seen this bug go so far as to not agro ZONE WIDE AGRO ADDS <----------------- So something is most certainly wrong somewhere... Only some indoor zones have the ability for a player to hug a wall and be immune from the raids AE.... Some Indoor zones do not What I purpose is that we make a Rule for AE effects being set at their designated range no matter what in a said zone...... That way the server op can determine if they want those people to be able to use the walls and hills as protection or not.. King |
