Raid Addicts Upgrading
 

Well we have been with our current dedicated host for several years now and they have not upgraded our equipment ... Though it was state of the art or near there back then .. We have decided to upgrade !!

NEW SERVER SPECS

STATS ON NEW SERVER:

Processors: 1 x Core2Duo E8400 6MB Cache 3.0 Ghz 13333Mhz FSB (Cores: 2)

RAM (type): 6144 MB (DDR2)

Drives (type): 1 x 250 GB (SATA)

OS: Debian

Our population has been around 100 lately with some lag issues hopefully this will fix some of that (though i'm not entirely convinced it is a hardware problem , we still needed to upgrade)

For perspective, this is going from a P4 2.5Ghz single-core machine with about 2Gb ram. Should see a fair improvement in the number crunching.

Hey Mort, you may want to send a message to VallonTallonZek (Null), and talk to him about any differences our upgrade has made on VZTZ. hes much more computer savvy than i am ;)

but it definitely helped with lag, zone crashing, etc, during large scale pvp/pve

(we just upgraded yesterday finally :) )

Yay finally folks we are moved over to the new server.. After a STREW of off the wall bugs (still some that aren't fixed) but the best part is no lag anymore..

We had 85 on last night and ZERO LAG!!
