quest::me apparently working again
I just wanted to express my delight in noticing that the quest::me() function in Perl is working again.
It was working as of a couple of months ago, then stopped working at some point, but apparently was fixed again in a recent Rev. I didn't see a message about it in the changelogs, so figured I'd give the heads up to anyone else who uses this command for flavor text and emotes. It's possible it was both broken and fixed accidentally during work on an unrelated part of the Emu code handling channel messages or something. *shrug* All I know is, I saw it working again last night while doing Perl coding, and was happy to see it. :) - Shendare |
The door swings both ways. Sometimes changes break things you didn't think about, but the reverse can be true as well :)

Along those same lines, quest::ze() is now not reporting the NPC's name, which I'm Ok with.

Yeah, that sounds like the behavior I would expect from zone-wide (and server-wide for quest::we) emotes, give the quest builder the choice whether to include the NPC name or omit it. Good deal.
