Bots are stuck in a different zone?
 

ok, so I had some microsoft updates that insisted I reboot the computer.. I wasn't ready so I told it no.. problem was that it would pop the window up. I clicked it off, but then it actually somehow managed to knock me offline of my own server .. I got the "You have been disconnected" message.. now my bots are unseeable and untargetable, and stuck in a totally different zone, even though being out of the zone I thought should clear it.

How do I get my bots back?

I think I had the same problem when being disconnected with my bots up. They would show as still being online in a zone, despite not actually being there. The only solution I found was to reboot the zone.

Well I think I've tried that multiple times.. I did have to reboot the computer, so it should have reset at that,..and yet it hasn't... so now what?

Hm, my solution was with the old eqbots, are you using the new bots?

Sorry, no clue. Really. I'm using the 2.04 gui, so whatever came with that?

ok.. upon rebooting the server after properly camping out, they reset. (phew!)

Solution 1:

I tell my guys to go to the zone their bots are in and camp out. When they come back, they can summon their bots.


Solution 2:

Have a GM do a #dbspawn (botid)

oh.. and why.. I summoned a mount once.. I keep dismounting it and trying to get rid of it (/dismount, #kill, #damage 75000 etc) but it WILL NOT GO AWAY! every time I zone. boom, it superglues itself to my butt... gmspeed is faster. Any ideas how to get rid of it?
