Swimming?

Just read in updates that:

swimming skill ups.

whatever that means.

Which brings me back to the question I always wanted to ask- why does everyone starts with Swimming of 100 at lev 1?

Was it because due skill ups were not working until now?

Will new char now start with Swimming at 0, as they realistically should be?

Sony changed all characters to start at 100 or 200 (can't remember) shortly after LDoN or GoD.

umm I remember they made peopel start with 100 sense heading shortly after they introduced maps, but why swimming?

in this case - can we make into sort of rule to start people from 0?

You may be right. I thought they did heading at 200 and swimming at 100. Was a long time ago...

I'd thought at one point the starting skill levels for each class were stored in the database and could be edited. I'm looking for them now and unable to find them, though. Are those part of the source now? I think a rule value is unnecessary so long as they can be directly edited in the database easily.

you right S0_1337

I remember seeing them in the Db too, about 2 years ago. I even remember setting Sense Heading back to 0, but then I noticed that in game it started to go up by ITSELF simply as I was running around

but i can't find where that was any more

Swimming is one of the few that is hardcoded to set at character create. A rule would be simple to add, not sure about the skills table. I've never worked with that to be honest.
