P.S. Since I've had it asked, I dug through the FAQs to confirm that the offer can also be used to purchase Windows 7 Professional for the same price.

This is important, as Home Premium doesn't allow you to join a domain, but Professional does.

Now, if I can just find someone who can get that deal and will pickup a copy for me and send it for like 50$ or something :)

And if you're part of the IEEE or you're at school and your faculty participates in the MSDNAA then you can get copies for free as well.

Unless something has changed recently that $30 offer for Windows 7 was for an upgrade and not the full version. Upgrading from one OS to another by overwriting files creates a gigantic mess and for alot of people that upgrade process can take all day to complete.
Just something to be mindful of if you are expecting a quick and painless transition.

windows 7 is a load of crap

For those that may not have known this, even when you buy an "Upgrade" edition, you can still do a clean install, which is almost always recommended. The "Upgrade" bit just means that officially you need to have owned a previous version of Windows to be eligible. Some older versions would have you pop in an older disc to prove this, though I don't know if 7 goes through that.

At any rate, $30 is a great deal especially for professional!

If you aren't a student, but have 3+ computers, you might consider the family pack too. That is $150 for 3 copies of Home Premium.

7 really is quite a bit better than Vista, I have been enjoying it so far. :)

I'm going to move to 7 as soon as HP starts offering it on their models so I can grab the keys; I'm stuck using vista due to XP 64 having no real support or compatibility.

Does anybody know if Everquest works well under Windows 7 ? Has anybody ever tried it ?

It does work well; I was running it under the beta of 7 and now in production too. :)
