invalid page fault
 

When I go to log into a server i get a "This program has proformed a illegal operation" and this is what it is,

" EQGAME caused an invalid page fault in
module EQGFX_DX8.DLL at 017f:012db018."

not sure what ti do to fix it,
i reloaded 3dfx 8.1 again and that didnt work, so i havent a clue.:(

what did you do? i am having the same problem.

well realy i didnt get the emu to work it still faults out, it's somthing to do with it messing up the eq dll file, i'm not sure what it is but when i try useing emu it does that and then i have to totaly reinstall eq to get that to even work again.
so i have no idea why it's doing that. might be the eqwin program not meeting the right specs for my voodoo card

You might need new video drivers... might be hard though since 3dfx is no longer in business so they won't be releasing drivers... Someone might have written drivers though, it'll just be a bitch and a half to find them :p Should just bite the bullet and get an nVidia video card :)

yeah pretty much thats what I'm going to have ta do, oh well, my computer needs upgraded anyways.
