Copying items in Mysql

I've been using HeidiSQL to edit the database. I want to make a few class specific armor items and from my perspective I think it would be easier to copy and change than to start from scratch. So what I've been thinking is to actually make a copy of an item, change a few stats and make a new custom item. Is there a way to do this...easily?
