Flurry bugged?
Hi. I've been playing on my own server(fresh install of 1316-bots) and had no problem until I learned the warrior's discipline "flurry". I'm not sure how the skill is supposed to work as I've quit the game long before the discipline was implemented, but it seems the skill has no reuse timer and I can spam flurry until my stamina runs out. It's very over-powered imo. Other disciplines like head bash and back swing don't have reuse timer just like Flurry. Also, I can attack myself using these disciplines and actually damage myself.
Are disciplines not implemented yet or is there a problem in my eqemu server installation? |
i am not familiar with specifically these disciplines, but there ARE disciplines which have no re-use timer, and only dependent on your endurance pool.
So - this very well maybe working as intended =) |
Those disciplines were actually removed from Live, I believe, but they never removed them from the spells file. So, you are basically getting some discs that are not really supported by the server. I believe KLS has been working on forcing timers for them, but I don't know if it works quite right yet.
One thing I notice is that even though they don't have a timer at first, if you use one of the newer versions of those disciplines that is on the same timer, suddenly all of the ones without a timer will then have a timer, at least until you zone. |
you can simply ADD the timer to a spell file OR, even better set class level to 255 to prevent its usage, if they not suppose to be usable =)

I've extensively worked with these discs for my server(made multiple ranks of all of them), they certainly add alot of diversity to melees.
This is a good site with explanations about each of the non standard discs: http://www.eqthieves.com/class-warrior-disc.htm The timer issue Trev is talking about is that some of them share the same disc timer, so you will have discs with no reuse timer being blocked after using a disc with a reuse timer because the timers were not separated. Changing the timers fixes the problem. |
It's all clear to me now. I will add timers manually as ChaosSlayerZ suggested.
Thanks for the answers :) |
