If I use the create you own server guide posted here will it work with the latest EQEMu version? I tried some one else's guide a while a go with an older version and it did not work. I have since zapped that attempt. I am a little in over my head and just wanted to see what I could learn before messing with it for an hour and then finding out it doesn't work. I have been having good fun on the Knights of Excalibur server with some friends. But I want to be King of the castle on my own server. Thanks

ok... found the proper version of mysql.... I extracted it and cannot figure out how to install it. It extracted as a folder with subfolders like Build, client, cmd line utils, ect. It looks like its already set up but I couldn't follow your directions to a T. I'm still working on it... Is there another way to run it or am I just more stupider than usual. If I can't get it to run is there another version I can use. I saw that I cannot use the 5.1 version.
