quick question about bots
 

do i need to have the rev that includes bots which is 1316 i believe or can i use any eqemu revison like 1589 and just source the load_bots.sql?

If you're using binaries and they weren't compiled with bot support, bots won't work, regardless of the revision. I think the binaries usually state if they have bot support included or not.

If you're compiling from source, you can enable bots with any revision that has the bots included in the source.

You'll have to source in load_bots.sql in either of the above scenarios.

Probably, yes. I'm making that assumption since the binaries for rev 1589 don't have any obvious indication that they were compiled with bot support.

I could be wrong, however. It's been known to happen. :)

Yeah, this is right. We should probably put up a new version. I run the latest with bots enabled. I'll see if I can put up a version later, if someone else doesn't do it.

Any update on when this is likely to go up?

You can always get them here, I think Xzam is keeping the latest version there...

Sorry. I had to go out of town suddenly but have been trying to get caught up on stuff. This is on my list to do. I'll try to get the latest up later.

I've uploaded the 1612 bots build. Let me know how it goes.
