More Server questions (and cake)
 

Thanks to all the help from these boards, I have a server up and running well on the public login server.

Now I was curious about how difficult it would be to switch to a completely self-contained, private server using Eqemulogin.exe, the settings that have to be adjusted specifically for that goal and so forth.

I see in the variables table of the PEQ database, the servertype is set to 'public', as is a setting in the basic file 'loginserver.ini'

Do these settings need to be swapped to another setting? StandAlone?

(If someone could offer a step-by-step conversion, I know it'd help more than simply myself. I've been asked many questions about getting a private server running... questions I don't have the technical understanding yet to answer.)

I know it's strongly recommended that folks use the public login servers, but I'd like to use my small emulator server simply as a 'gametable' for longtime friends and family to get together a few nights a month and have a decent, quality, (And oft-times custom) gaming experience together... since after college most of my gaming friends spread out across the country... making tabletop gaming an impossibility. ;)
