Empty world
using server 0.3.8-win32
I have a local server setup. I can log into the server, create a character, and start the game. When I log into the game the world is empty. I have sorced the db.sql files from both the 0.3.6 and 0.3.8 server builds, yet I still have an empty world.:mad: Any clues as to why this is? |
Did you source the addon dB from
http://edwardpinniger.bctalk.net/eq/eqemu.html or http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...group_id=41381 -Brian |
I will try that
I will try that out.
Thanks. |
disconnecting
I used the database from the first link.
Now when I connect the world is populated. Thanks for the info. :D When I try to interface with one of the merchants my game immediatly says you have been disconnected. Is this a fault of the database I loaded or is this an EQEmu issue?:mad: |
I get that problem also with the merchants. Everytime I open their trade window I disconnect. Dunno why though.
|
That happens when there is some invalid item or something on the merchant. If it's your server, try to re-source in the DB. Might just be one of those funky errors that always creeps into db's :p

Still no Merchants
So here is what I've done.
1. I deleted the eq database from mysql 2. Recreated the database in mysql 3. sourced in the db.sql 4. sourced in the ReloadDb.sql from http://edwardpinniger.bctalk.net/eq/eqemu.html 5. added eqemu with flag of 200 6. started the minilogin/ world.exe/ boot5zones.bat 7. logged into eqemu/ created character/ entered world All this is good with no errors from mysql or from the world.exe pane when I try to right click on a merchant for their sales inventory I am disconnected. Here is what the world.exe pane records: Logged in: Local: eqemu Guild Send Request... Received 0xe521. Unknown opcode: 0x9220 size:12 0: 00 00 00 0D 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 | ............ Unknown opcode: 0x3521 size:2056 Unknown opcode: 0x3921 size:2056 Unknown opcode: 0x9220 size:12 0: 00 00 00 0D 00 00 00 00 - 00 00 00 00 | ............ Client disconnected The zone the character starts in also is dropped and is no longer running. Is this a bug or a database problem? If its a bug what's the work around? if its a database problem, does anyone know were to get a different one that works. |
