Which client are you running? If you have a client that is SoD or later, you need to use port 5999, otherwise you will timeout like that. You can find all of the needed into on the playguide, including how to determine that the client you use is one that is compatible with EQEmu.

I am using the Titanium client with the discs current thru Depths of Darkhollow. I tried switching to 5999 and i still get the same thing. Anything else i can try?

Was really lookin forward to playing on P99 but now i cant even log into the Emulator. I type my password in and it wont take it. I had my password reset and the new one emailed to me wont work either. I type it all in exact case sensitive and everything and still wont work. If anyone has any info that will help this is my last shot at P99 i'm giving up. I was able to post this using the link thru my email when i set up account. Thanx again and for anyone else that couldn't get P99 going i feel your pain.

I am also running titanium but i noticed when i go to the login screen it shows the underfoot image. I have done all the proper changes adding the patchme to the target and the
[LoginServer]
Host=eqemulator.net:5998

No extra spaces or anything are there. but i get the Error message " The operation has timed out "

What else can i do? I'm running vista

The discs up to DoD have nothing to do with the Titanium client that is compatible with EQEmu. You need the actual Titanium CDs and need to install them fresh by themself without installing them over any previous EQ installation. If you already had EQ installed, uninstall and delete the folder and install Titanium fresh.

Make sure you are using the Getting Started guide here:
http://www.eqemulator.org/wiki/wikka...akka=PlayGuide

You can verify your client version by reading this page:

If you are seeing the Underfoot image when you try to log in, then you definitely aren't running Titanium and will not be able to play on P99 for sure. See the client version wiki page linked above to determine your client version. The Underfoot client requires you to use port 5999 to be able to even log into the Login Server.

There is no password reset for login server accounts so you are not using the right log in information. please refer to the previously mentioned links for help.
